However, the presence of up to 46.508 individuals of the species was reported in one night in a maize field in Songon. The loss caused by their damage was estimated at 32% of the maize yield. This observation prompted this study. This work was conducted on an experimental plot covering 2592m2. Concentrations 110g/l(T1), 135.5g/l(T2), and 165g/l(T3) of the aqueous extract were applied with 6 replicates. Four (4) applications were made per crop cycle in 2020 and 2021. The reference chemical insecticide used was Viper 46EC (16 Acetamiprid, 30 indoxacarb).
