Aim and Scope

Entomology and Applied Science Letters supports the submission of entomological papers that contain information of interest to wider reader groups e. g. papers bearing on taxonomy, phylogeny, biodiversity, ecology, systematic, agriculture, and morphology.  The selection of comprehensive, revisionary, or integrated systematics studies of broader biological or zoogeographical relevance is also important. Distinguished entomologists drawn from different parts of the world serve as honorary members of the Editorial Board. The journal encompasses all the varied aspects of entomological research.

In addition to our primary focus on entomology, Entomology and Applied Science Letters now welcomes submissions in broader applied sciences. This includes interdisciplinary studies and practical applications in fields such as biotechnology, healthcare, dermatology, microbiology, and healthcare management. We particularly encourage papers that integrate entomological research with these applied sciences or address practical solutions to real-world problems. This expansion aims to foster a more comprehensive platform for scientific advancements that intersect with the diverse realms of applied science.

The journal is divided into the following sections: Morphology, Systematics, Evolution, Sampling, Distribution, Dispersal, Development, Life History, Population, Community Ecology, Behaviour, Chemical Ecology, Population Biology/Genetics, Molecular Biology/Genomics, Neurobiology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Vector Control, Pest Management, Resistance, Repellents, Arthropod/Host Interaction, Immunity, Vector/Pathogen/Host Interaction, Transmission. Vector-Borne Diseases, Surveillance, Prevention, Direct Injury, Myiasis, Forensics, Modeling/Gis, Risk Assessment, Economic Impact.

The Journal covers the following aspects of Entomology

Apiology, Arachnology, Arthropodology, Cetology, Conchology, Entomology, Helminthology, Herpetology, Ichthyology, Malacology, Myrmecology, Nematology, Neuroethology, Ornithology, Paleozoology, Planktology, Primatology, Zooarchaeology, Zoosemiotics, Vector Molecular Biology, Molecular Endocrinology, Parasitology and Immunobiology, Reproductive biology, Environmental Sciences, Evolutionary biology, Fisheries, and Aqua – Sciences, Forestry, Genetics, Horticultural Sciences, Human Biology and Science, Pest, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Systematics and evolution, Zoogeography, Zoosemiotics, Soil Sciences, Taxonomy, and Veterinary Sciences.

Entomology and Applied Science Letters has four main areas of interest:

  • Entomology (systematics; morphology; biology; biotechnology; agriculture, ornamental and forest entomology; applied entomology; integrated pest management; biological control; apiculture and apidology; medical, urban, and veterinary entomology; etc.)
  • Stored product pests (biology; integrated pest management; etc.)
  • Insect Ecology (behavior; biodiversity; taxonomy; plant insect interaction and ecosystems; biological control; alien species; etc.)
  • Acarology (systematics; morphology; biology; parasitology; control; etc.)
